It is everywhere,
From the puddles on the ground
To the carpet covering the stairs.
It sticks to the trees
Layered like snow,
He brings it to his parched lips
But it scatters like diamonds when he blows.
Hugging him like skin,
Engulfing his once, sea eyes
Until drops of it fall from his chin.
Trapped in the middle of an endless night
He spots it,
A bright pink parasol
That sparks a light in her outfit.
Brushing her lips,
From her blushed cheeks to the ribbon tied around her waist
They share a smile
And suddenly his heart becomes caged in her grip.
