A British countryside covered in white

A layer of icing sugar
Shook from the clouds,
Mists of white drenching the hills
Out come the roaring crowds.

The sticky cold freezing my feet
My hands, my cheeks, my toes,
Triple layers of everything
I look like a wiggling pile of throws.

Snowflakes dance as they fall
Tiny crystal edges sparkling in the winter sun,
They melt on my dark eyelashes
Oh, Christmas has begun.
